This is my "Sing" painting, part of my new botanical abstract series, where I combine my love of abstract art with displaying nature. I wanted to use natural elements from my garden like moss and leaves but have them in an abstract setting rather than in a figurative setting or landscape. The result was a combination of the two which I love very much!
The colors have very soft edges and the paint is mixed and layered to add depth and interest. Using natural moss adds texture, color variation and dimensionality to the piece.
In this piece I used mainly nude and brown tones but also a few pops of blush. It would compliment any decor that has earthy tones or neutrals. It would look great in a bedroom or any area you want to add natural elements along with soft colors.
